Dear Family and Friends,
I am writing to tell you all some very exciting news I have just registered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's TEAM IN TRAINING to participate in the Capital of Texas Triathlon on May 31, 2004! Yes, that's a .9 mile swim, 25 mile bike, and a 6.2 mile run. O.k., you can get up off the floor - I know this may be hard to believe. What have I gotten myself into, right? I've been asking myself the same question since I made this decision.
So how am I really going to get through this? When nothing else works, inspiration and motivation will come from my Honered Heros, Nitia Collins, Maura Mangan, Elizabeth Collins and Handen Curtis. They are all precious people. The challenges I have yet to face are nothing compared to the challenges that all of my heros, their family & so many others face every day.
I am writing to each of you to ask for support. Over 75% of my personal goal of $2,500 will go back to The Society for research, patient services, advocacy, & education!
NO DONATION IS TOO GREAT OR SMALL... every bit helps!
